[affiliates_registration]All we need from you to get started as an affiliate is your name, a PayPal linked email address and a user name that you create. We use PayPal for convenience and safety to pay our affiliates. You can sign up for a PayPal account if you don’t have one.
Referral payments will be calculated and paid monthly the first week of the following month. Our base referral commission is 5% of retail sales (not including shipping charges). Wholesale orders don’t count toward referral commissions. We are big believers in paying for performance, so in any calendar month your referral payment for orders that month is $100 or more, we’ll double it. So if you earn $100, we’ll make it $200. If you earn $500 in commission we’ll make it $1,000. If you earn $10,000, we’ll make it $20,000… you get the idea.
Because we are paying you in real money and not rewards points, big pats on the back, cool looking certificates/badges, cheap swag or any other non cash reward, we have to file a form 1099-MISC with the IRS at the end of the year if you make more than $600 during the calendar year from our affiliate program. The month your calendar year annual commission exceeds $600, we will suspend your affiliate payments until you fill out and send us a W-9 form. You can download the W-9 directly from the IRS. This requires you to provide us with a little more information including your address and a valid tax ID number. This is a legal requirement from the IRS. The good news is that you’ll only have to do this once. If you exceed the IRS threshold the next year, you don’t have to fill out another form.
Now a quick note from our lawyer. The affiliate payments are at our company’s discretion. We have the right to cancel or limit a customer’s affiliate account for any reason. The terms of our affiliate program are subject to change without notice.
